Muvia IndustrialEdge node
A computer on the floor that does not stop with the network.
The node sits next to the machines, runs the drivers and brings the data into Muvia. If the cloud does not answer it keeps the data in a local buffer and sends it when the network returns.

Latest values, logs and restart stay available from the node.
Illustrative example
Ordinary hardware, remote management, a console on site.
Ordinary hardware
Debian or Ubuntu, amd64 or arm64, Raspberry Pi 4 included. The software runs in Docker containers.
Enrol with a token
One command on the machine, a USB stick that installs on its own, or a node already prepared: on first boot it introduces itself to the cloud and appears in your fleet.
Local buffer
If the link to the cloud drops, the node keeps the data and sends it when the network is back.
Local console
A password-protected web interface on the node: status, logs, driver configuration, latest values, start and stop, updates. It works without the cloud too.
From the box to the line
- 01
Install
With one command, from a USB stick, or with a node prepared in the lab.
- 02
Enrol
On first boot the node introduces itself with your company's token. Nothing to configure by hand on site.
- 03
Configure from the cloud
Drivers and tags are chosen in Muvia; the configuration reaches the node.
In detail
- Operating system
- Debian or Ubuntu
- Architecture
- amd64 or arm64; Raspberry Pi 4 supported
- Software
- Docker containers: drivers, node agent, processing runtime
- Enrolment
- Company token; one command, USB stick or pre-staged node
- Network
- Recognises cellular links
- Updates
- Explicit: no node updates itself
Frequently asked questions
The node keeps reading, holds the data in a local buffer and sends it when the cloud is reachable again. The buffer has a finite capacity: Muvia does not promise guaranteed delivery.
No. The local console answers from the node itself, behind a password, even when the cloud is unreachable.
No. You decide which one to update, and when.
Tell us which machines you run. We'll tell you how to read them.
PLC brand, protocol, how the floor is connected: with those three answers, in a demo with one of our engineers, we show you how Muvia Industrial puts line data next to the rest of the business.
