From a machine's series to an estimate, down to the node on the floor
A predictor estimates what a machine's signals suggest: an anomaly, a quantity that is not measured, the probability that a stop starts. It is built from a query and can run on the node.
- Kind

- Node
- Line 2, pinned to v2
- Alarm
- Optional
Runs on the node, with the pinned version.
Illustrative example

Four kinds, in the cloud and on the node
Anomalies and forecasts
Anomaly detection flags what departs from the expected trend, for example in a vibration; the forecast gives a trend with its band.
Virtual sensor
Estimates a quantity no sensor measures from those the node reads.
Probability of an event
Estimates the probability that an event defined in Analisi, such as a stop, starts within a horizon. It needs Analisi.
A step of the node
The node's program can run a predictor as a step, pinned to a version the node may use.
How it works
- 01
Build it from a query
Choose the kind and point to the machine's series with «Cosa» and «Da dove» (what and from where); «Quando» and «Allarme» complete the path.
- 02
Promote a version
Versions are immutable: the first is active, the others stay candidates until a person promotes them.
- 03
Take it to the node
In the node's program add the predictor as a step and choose the version to use.
In detail
- Kinds
- Anomaly detection, Forecast, Virtual sensor, Probability.
- On the node
- A step of the node's program, pinned to a version; it needs processing on the node.
- Pinned version
- The node page says when the pinned version is not the active one; the predictor lists the nodes that apply it.
- Models
- An ONNX model runs in the cloud and on the node, a joblib one in the cloud only.
- AI on text
- From a text column, such as maintenance notes, it sorts each row among the labels you choose, summarises it or extracts the fields you name, into a table. It runs in the cloud and starts once an administrator approves it.
- Athena
- Can propose a predictor; you approve it in «Da approvare».
Frequently asked questions
No. It estimates a probability or flags a deviation; deciding what to do stays with whoever knows the machine. Muvia does not state an accuracy.
The node page says when the pinned version is not the active one, and the predictor lists the nodes that apply it.
Yes, as a file: an ONNX model also on the node, a joblib one in the cloud only.
Tell us which machines you run. We'll tell you how to read them.
PLC brand, protocol, how the floor is connected: with those three answers, in a demo with one of our engineers, we show you how Muvia Industrial puts line data next to the rest of the business.
